Happy 29th!

Wow, I can't believe I'm enjoying the last year in my 20's! To celebrate I went to dinner at Blue Koi with one of my closest friends, Emily. Her birthday is exactly one month after mine so we do a birthday dinner together each year. We tried the bubble tea that everyone raves about. I'm a big texture person so the big tapioca balls in the tea weren't easy for me to take. We had a great time catching up with no distractions!

Saturday night we went out with Val and Lea to Cafe Trio and The Drop. We had some fun drinks and enjoyed hanging with adults!

Of course, we've got to have at least one fun picture of Val!

Snow Day!

We've had a lot of snow the past couple of weeks! We've enjoyed it some. It definitely takes longer to get everyone dressed than it does to play outside, but we still have fun.

Here's Benjamin on his inflatable sled he got for Christmas. He loves to lounge in it and be pulled around! I have to watch and make sure he doesn't tip over the side. He face planted a couple of times in the snow...not fun!

One day we also made snowflake tortillas and snow ice cream. The ice cream was a huge hit, they were both licking their bowls clean!

Benjamin's 1st Haircut

This morning after we dropped Bella off at prechool, I took Little Man to get his 1st hair cut. I know it may have been a little early, but after how much food he rubbed in his hair yesterday I had had enough! I'm sad to see his sweet little curls in the back gone, but he looks so handsome!

He did a great job sitting still and holding the steering wheel of his race car! How much fun!

The Party Continues

Saturday we celebrated Bella's birthday again, this time with friends! We met at Debbie Howard's Gymnastics and the kids got to jump and swing and play around on everything! Then, we enjoyed some very pink cupcakes and little snacks before opening presents. Bella is so blessed to have wonderful friends and we are so thankful for our friendships with them as well.

Bella's 1st day of Preschool

We've been talking about preschool now for weeks! We've got a new backpack, which I think she loves as much as Raffie, so we're ready for school! This morning we woke up early and got all ready. She wore her backpack around the house for awhile before we left! She was excited! We drove to Little Blessings Preschool and met daddy up there to help walk us in. She met her teacher Ms. Heather and was in awe of all the fun things there were to do there! She was a little shy at first with her fingers in her mouth, but she warmed up quickly and found her name and put it on the tree for attendance. As we hung up her backpack I noticed she snuck Raffie and her blanket in there! ha! She gave me a few big hugs and a big kiss and that was it! No tears from anyone, well maybe Brandon was tearing up a little bit. I handled it like a breeze, which is soo not like me!

Sending Kevin off to Peru

This week my brother Kevin left this week again to work with orphans in Peru. My parents went with and will stay for 3 weeks. We loved having him here in KC the past 6 months, but we understand and admire his heart for the poor and the orphans. It's amazing to see how God has gifted him and the passion he had for these people! We will miss him so much and will be sad that he won't be here. Please keep Kevin in your prayers this month as he decides where the Lord wants him to be in Peru. You can also check out his blog here and see an amazing video he made of his time in Peru so far.

Bella's new room

We moved Bella up to a queen bed recently and redecorated her room for her birthday this year. She had broke in her little toddler bed literally! Somehow she managed to take out the screws and with a few jumps the slats broke under the mattress. I had so much fun picking out her new bedding, and she was equally as excited! When the first box came, it was her new white sheets, she started screaming and going nuts! Wow, white sheets, who would've known!

The New Year 2011

Happy New Year! We look forward to what God has in store for our family and business this year. We have so much to be thankful for in 2010, God is so good! The most amazing blessing was experiencing Benjamin's first year and watching Bella become such a wonderful big sister!

Our New Year Eve plans are very kid friendly these days! We got together with our small group to make personal pizzas, play with the kids, and visit. We headed home around 8:15pm! We are so thankful for our small group and love all the kids that there too!

Adria and Bella try their first cheese sticks! Bella was not a fan, but I think I lost count on how many Adria ate! ;)

Making pizzas with Megan! Mmmm!

Such sweet friends!

Here comes trouble!
