Psalm 89:1

The Big Reveal!

Yesterday was a big day! We had so much fun all day long! We started out at 9:30am getting a sonogram. The doctor told us when to close our eyes so we wouldn't find out the sex too early. She wrote it on a piece of paper and put it and the sonogram with the proof in a sealed envelope! Then we headed to visit with my doctor and heard and recorded the heart beat for the build-a-bear we're going to make the baby. Bella was very well behaved at the doctor's office. Then Bella and I headed to the chiropractor at 11am, got our adjustements, and Bella continued to be very good!

We picked up Brandon and headed to the Cheesecake Factory to continue our tradition. We had a wonderful lunch and had a great waitress this time. (Last time we had this guy who was pretty flaming so it was hard to share the moment with him). We had a really sweet girl probably my age. Brandon also said a last chance prayer for a boy before our lunch! I told him this was his last chance if he was going to ask! haha! Anyway we ordered the banana cheesecake if it was a boy and the lemon raspberry for a girl. We handed the sealed envelope to the waitress and anxiously awaited our dessert! At this point Bella was ready for nap time but Raffi her giraffi soothed her along with Brandon walking her around. I think he was just nervous and was pacing before the cheesecake arrived! The waitresses had all gathered around and were clapping and cheering! A guy who was familiar with Canon cameras was like oh let me take your picture I have a camera like this and I'm really good! haha

We both cried and were so excited to see "It's a Boy" for the first time written on the plate! This will be the 4th generation in a row of a boy being born in the Johnson family! Our due date is Nov. 11th, Brandon's birthday is Nov. 18th, His dad, Bob, has his birthday Nov. 17th, and Brandon's grandfather's birthday was Nov. 12th.

Last night we had my parents, my aunt and uncle and their boys, and several of our friends over for the big blue or pink dessert reveal! We grilled out burgers and played washers and then Brandon had the big reveal of the blue homemade ice cream! I had also made blue cupcakes covered with a lot of icing so no one could see too early! :)

It was so much fun for Brandon and I to celebrate and make a big deal out it! Thanks for everyone who came and every one who has shared in our excitement! Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy, baby, and delivery!

I hung our sonogram pictures with the verses Psalm 139:13-16 typed out. "For you created my inmost being; you knot me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

Big Sis

Tomorrow is the big day! We have our Doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and then we're going to have lunch and peek at the ultrasound picture! Then tomorrow tonight we're having friends over for our traditional "pink or blue reveal party". We're going to grill out burgers and have pink or blue dessert!

We can't wait! Bella is very excited too. She was giving the baby kisses on my tummy today! She's going to be such a sweet big sis! She is showing so many signs of being big stuff lately! This was lunch today, she has decided that she's too big to sit in the high chair now. I guess that's good so we can make room for one more!

Kevin on his way to Peru

Yesterday we spent the day at my parents house and hung out. Kevin got last minute things ready for Peru. This morning he left very early for his new journey as the business administrator for an orphanage and school in Pacasmayo, Peru. He has committed to live and work there for at least one year with intentions of staying longer depending on what God has for him there. I really encourage you if you have a few minutes to check out what he'll be doing on his blog that you can find on the sidebar list of the blogs that we follow.

Kevin has an amazing heart for these kids and has equipped himself with Spanish which he can speak fluently now and a degree in international business. I'm so proud of him! He's grown up so much in the past couple of years and now he's an example to me. I'm so excited that he's embracing this time after graduation to chase after the Kingdom of Heaven!

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers in the next couple of days as he travels and over the next year as he lives and serves there! We will miss him so much! My parents are planning on going to see him over Christmas this year, but he's not planning on coming back very often due to expensive travel and his commitment to the kids and the city. I know he'll be a part of amazing things this year and can't wait to hear the stories of how God is using him!

Here is Aunt Val reading to the girls after a swim. Sophie is loving Bella's pigtails!

We got some cute shots of the girls in their Peru jerseys with Kevin!

Bella got a little piano lesson from Uncle Kev! Where is her shirt? haha

Our Weekend in Waco, TX!

This weekend we traveled down to Brandon's home town which is also where we went to Baylor! Flying with a 17 month old is much easier than driving! We made it with only a few break downs which all centered around the DVD player and the approved times for electronics! The main reason for going down on this particular weekend was that Brandon got inducted into his high school hall of fame for football!

Near the end of his acceptance speech Bella realized that Daddy was up on stage and she was waving and giggling! Then, she decides what better place to be than up there with him! It was so cute! She did grab the mic immediately and wanted to be the center of attention.

There is one plaque dedicated for Brandon that will go in the hall of fame and one that he gets to keep! But, check out those killer heels I'm wearing! About 5 minutes into the night my feet hurt so bad I wanted to cut them off! I could hardly make small talk. But, they looked great! :)

Aunt Christie and Uncle Barry are trying to keep her occupied!

Grandpa Bob and Bella all dressed up!

Afterwards the four of us went out for some killer dessert and I got bottled water. If you can see in the picture the bottles of water were glass cylinders and came with a tall frosted glass. They were pretty cool! We can't drink regular water in Waco now because we're spoiled with the clean water in MO. :)

Bella had so much fun playing with her new wagon and giving the dogs treats! I also enjoyed time with friends at all of my favorite restaurants and Spice, which is my favorite place to shop there. Brandon enjoyed a lot of golf with his dad and brother and we all enjoyed hanging out as a family. Christie's mom was so sweet and invited Bella and I over to swim on Saturday. Bella was mostly entertained by her puppy dogs of course! It was a great weekend!
