Mother's Day
I had a wonderful mother's day weekend! Sunday we ate breakfast at Ginger Sue's a new breakfast place in Lee's Summit and I can't wait to go back and try several other things on the menu! I had an omelette that came with the famous breakfast potatoes and a biscuit! The kids had a chocolate chip pancake and eggs, and Brandon had biscuits and gravy. I got to try some of everyone's! Yummy! Then we went to church with my mom and the guys provided lunch for us over at my parent's house. We had BBQ chicken, beans, rolls, salad, fruit, tortilla roll ups, twice baked potatoes, and cupcakes! I was stuffed! We did a little crafting led by Val and made some cute flower vases! I can't wait to use mine! Then we all loaded up and headed to the new aquarium at Crown Center. We had a blast and loved looking at all the different kinds of sea life! We were all ready to head for bed by the end of our outing. I think all the kids either cried or had a melt down of some kind (at least my kids) on our way out.
I am so blessed to be Bella and Benjamin's mommy! They fill my life with so much happiness and joy. Motherhood is the most wonderful, most challenging, and most rewarding job! I have had an incredible example for myself through my own mom and seeing my sister and my friends in their journey with motherhood is so encouraging and inspiring. Having so many wonderful moms to walk with in this season of life is something I'm so thankful for!

Benjamin goes to the barber!
This week as we've gotten a little settled into the new house we've been making our way around town. I decided it was about time to get Benjamin another hair cut for the summer. I've loved it longer, but it needed a trim either way. He was excited before we went and afterwards, but while we were there he was ALL business! The barbers were so impressed with how still he sat. He didn't budge, didn't say a word, and didn't have a single facial expression. He was so excited to spike it up like daddy and then he got to pick out a blue sucker afterwards! He looks so handsome and I'm sure his short hair with feel so much better as it gets warmer outside. He had been sweating even during nap time! He can't leave the house now without his hair gel!

Paradise Park outing
We met Gigi, Aunt Val, Sophie, and Porter at Paradise park this week. We had planned on the zoo but it was still rainy and wet outside. I was going crazy from last week being cooped up inside unpacking so I needed to get out! The kids had a blast as usual playing in all the different themed rooms. They made some mother's day crafts and went to the story time and snack time as well. We were all ready for naps by the time we left!
Porter's 2nd Birthday "Mustache Bash"
This last weekend we got to celebrate Porterman's 2nd birthday at his "Mustache Bash"! It was so much fun and so cute! The kids had a blast at the shaving station, tie decorating table, pin the mustache on Porter game, doing chalk, bubbles, driving his new nascar, the photo booth, and eating the most amazing chocolate cake made by my very talented sister!
We closed on our house!
It was an exciting day when we closed on our new house is Lee's Summit! I love the fun gifts you get at closing and so did the kids this time! We're hoping to settle in this house for awhile...more pics to come!
Little Man
Benjamin loves helping daddy with anything! This just melted my heart I had to take pictures! He's obsessed with daddy's lawn mower and tools, he talks about them every time we're in the garage!
