My sweet little Benny Boo is turning 3! Wow, it feels like a blink of an eye since his last birthday! He's had such a growth spurt the past few months and he's really turned into a little boy and not a toddler anymore! He loves the Curious George cartoons and books and when I asked him what kind of party he wanted he didn't hesitate! Since this has been a pretty crazy year I was all about a low key birthday somewhere besides our house! We joined the Lee's Summit community center and they have such an amazing indoor kid pool! Perfect! It's only 5 minutes from our house and it's not every day you can have a pool party in November! Auntie Kate made amazing chocolate and banana cupcakes! I made some fun themed snacks to go with it. We had Paula Dean's savory monkey bread, trail mix with banana chips and other goodies, frozen banana pops dipped in chocolate and MnMs, grapes, and cheese and crackers. I asked Benjamin what he wanted for his birthday the other day. He said "food"! I asked what kind of food? He said, "Orange cheese." He's really into the colby jack cheese these days! LOL He was SOOO excited that "everybody, all my friends" were coming to swim with him! He's been talking about this for weeks! He passed out little thank you treat bags that were filled with runts (which have banana candy), banana split candy, and curious george stickers. When I asked him what his favorite thing about the day was, he said "all my friends!"

My little tricky treats!
I LOVE the month of October! The weather is amazing, the trees are so beautiful, and it's just the beginning of all of the fun festivities of the next 3 months! My sweet little treats had a blast carving pumpkins, at their school parties, trick or treating at daddy's work, and celebrating with Sophie and Porter at Papa and Gigi's that night. Gigi had the house DECKED out! complete with flying ghost, a spider that dropped on you, a talking candy bowl that really got me, spider webs, and little mice and spiders to find around the house! My parents even dressed up in costume as snow white? and a mountain man! Brandon and I will have to do costumes next year! Bella was asking what I was and she decided I was little red riding hood since I was wearing a red top and that Brandon was a bat since he was wearing black! The kids each got a pumpkin to decorate with stick on faces. Bella insisted on drawing on hair so hers could be a girl. We had a jack-o-lantern pizza, a bonfire for s'mores, and a hay ride for trick or treating around the neighborhood! Bella was Rapunzel and Benjamin was a rocket ship! Sophie was an ice cream cone and Porter was an airplane. The boys looked so cute flying around door to door! They got more candy than they know what to do with. We ended the night getting treats from Gigi which included goldfish, kitkats, googly eyes and vampire teeth! The teeth are always a huge hit and Bella was even eating candy with them in! Pure talent!
Halloween Parties at School
Benjamin has loved his Friday morning preschool class this year! He gets so excited about packing his lunch and for the day when it's his turn to go to school! He was a rocket ship for Halloween this year and wore his astronaut PJs underneath! He brought grapes for his party and was just as excited about bringing those as he was the party! He's too cute!
Bella was a pink princess for school. I laid out the dress the night before and she started digging through her dress up trunk. She knew exactly what accessories she wanted to go with it! She picked out shoes (both of them let feet since all the others broke), and tiara, wand, and bracelet. We curled her hair the night before and she couldn't hardly wait! What a beautiful princess she was!
Benjamin got to go and watch Bella during her class parade and had to give her one hug!
