Sachse Easter

We had a chilly day at my Grandparents house this year for Easter. It was so good to see everyone and visit. The food was all so amazing as always! The highlight for the kids is always the egg hunt! Bella and Ben got straight to business! It's so sweet to see their little eyes light up when they find a treasure!

The guys take their usual positions after lunch.

Bell's Easter Tea

Little Blessings Preschool hosted an Easter Tea with coffee and bagels to celebrate the Easter season. Bella got to wear her Easter dress and daddy and Benjamin also came to watch. She was front and center and did such a wonderful job with all the hand motions and singing! It was so fun for her to have her family up there and for us to see her in her element!

Easter Playdate with Gigi

We had an Easter themed playdate with Gigi. The kids dyed Easter eggs, played with the baby chicks, made chocolate suckers, had a pizza picnic, and just played their hearts out. When Papa got home they got to feed the fish!

Rapunzel Puppet Show

The girls had been looking forward to this puppet show for awhile! Bella wore her Rapunzel dress and brought her doll. Aunt Val even made sure they had matching Rapunzel hair clips! The boys enjoyed being more active as usual.

Kaleidoscope

I met my friend Leah and her kids Adria and Isaac this week at Crown Center. We went to the Kaleidoscope session first. The kids had a great time painting and watching their art work go through the big dryer. The glow in the dark room and the music "dance" room are also favorites!

Benjamin is always drawn to the big circular sink and water fountain. He's still a little more interested in pushing buttons than making art. He does love to paint though!

After Kaleidoscope we ate lunch at Fritz's and played for a few minutes in the animal exhibit. Bella had a bad fall on the chain spider web and as I'm consoling her Benjamin must have bumped his head in the bear cave. Both of my children are shrieking in pain as we hobble out to Topsy's popcorn to get a drink of ice water. That made everything better! Then we got a sucker on the way home. Bella does have a pretty bad bruise on her knee, and Benjamin's head is fine of course. He's got a head made of steel!

First Zoo Trip of the Year

We had a bit of a warmer day last week so we met Gigi, Aunt Val, Sophie, and Porter at the zoo! It warmed up pretty quickly and the kids were so excited to be outside. We took two rides on the train. The kids squealed and raised their hands up as we went through the dark tunnels!

We also took two rides around the carousel. It looks like Benjamin is STILL telling the story of how "Bella poked mommy in the eye!" This happened maybe over a month ago and he talks about it every day and he tells everyone we see! Gigi has heard this story at least a dozen times. I think it's because he gets in trouble for biting that the one time that Bella accidently hurt mommy it was a big deal to him and finally the pressure was off of him. LOL he cracks me up with this story!

Crown Center Animal Exhibit

Our fun outing last week was to Crown Center. They have a great animal exhibit right now that the kids absolutely love! There are vines to swing on, monkey bars, camels and lions to "ride on", an ant hill to crawl through, a bee hive, caterpillar, spiders web, penguin slide, eagles nest, giraffe bean bag toss, an elephants trunk to swing, a bear cave with a momma and three babies, and a huge turtle shaped reading table! This kept us busy for a good hour. We of course had to eat at Fritz's! The kids were very patient with the long wait and loved watching the trains of course! After we ate, Bella wanted to go back and play a little more. Then Gigi treated the kids to a piece of candy at the candy store! A fun way to end a sweet day with Gigi, Aunt Val, Sophie, and Porter!
