We had soo much fun at Powell Gardens. The weather was overcast so it was perfect for being outside all day. There was so much to do we just stayed through nap time. They had the butterfly festival going on with a ton of activities plus the lego attractions. We made butterfly wings and antennas, listened to Fancy Nancy story time, did the caterpillar hunt, games, catch and release (never found any to catch) butterflies, caterpillar petting zoo, painted flower pots, face paint, picnic lunch, homemade ice cream treats, hiked the entire property to find the 27 lego attractions, and splashed in the fountains. The kids got to hold caterpillars and walk through butterfly tents to see huge butterflies, moths, in all stages of their life cycle. We can't wait to do this again next year!
