Happy Birthday Dad / Papa

We got to celebrate another birthday for my dad this week. We had a fun and crazy as always birthday dinner. My mom made an amazing dinner with pork kcabobs and Valerie made the most amazing homemade strawberry shortcake and ice cream for dessert! I could have eaten the whole thing! It was a nice cool fall evening that we enjoyed outside playing games and eating dessert! The kids got to stay up late playing "ghost" in the dark. I was inside with Bowen but I could hear the loud boos from Brandon and Papa and then the screams from the kids. We stayed a little too long because Bella had one of her signature delirious breakdowns! I am thankful for so many things about my dad. A few of them are his leadership by example, his wisdom, and his amazing discernment (he's really got this as a gift to observe, be slow to speak or get angry and then he knows just what to say at just the right time). I hope to develop more of that! I'm so thankful for the priority of fatherhood he has. He teaches, sacrifices, loves, guides, forgives, and laughs with all (7 now) kids and 5 grandkids! He will have many rewards in heaven for all the blessings he has passed on to these generations! We love you dad and papa!
